Torree Pederson
President
A passionate education advocate, Torree Pederson has spent the past 15 years running business leader-led organizations focused on workforce development. As founding President of Aligned, Torree has helped grow the dual-state organization focused on statewide policy reform focused on the cradle-to-career spectrum. Torree also served for over ten years as the Executive Director of the Greater Kansas City National Tooling & Machining Association, an organization focused on the manufacturing workforce needs in the greater Kansas City region.
In response to the growing workforce crisis in manufacturing, Torree founded BotsKC in 2015 and currently serves as its board chairwoman. This competition features fifteen-pound battle bots and plays host to over 500 students and 35 schools across the region. Before entering the education advocacy arena, Torree spent ten years in corporate finance/accounting/audit, working for Sprint and Hallmark in Kansas City. Torree lives in Shawnee, Kansas, with her husband Jason and their two children, Elle (16) and Samuel (14).
