Stanberry R-II shows what’s possible when small districts have stable support to sustain and strengthen preschool. 

Using the Missouri Quality Pre-K (MOQPK) grant, the district reduced pressure on local dollars, reinforced early readiness, and built stronger connections with families through regular engagement nights and a staffing model that creates continuity from pre-K into the early grades. 

Stanberry also leaned into the Quality Assurance Report (QAR) process to strengthen quality and align with state benchmarks — proving that smart investment in early learning pays off for kids and communities.
